The Moon is the card of the psychic. It symbolizes the journey into the underworld and the lure of the unknown. Within the context of the Major Arcana, the Moon acts as the bridge between inner (The Star) and outer (The Sun) worlds. The two-headed
statue symbolizes the mirror of the soul and the descent and return from the underworld. The three eyed owl represents the wisdom of the shadow realm and the ability to see through the darkness. In Native American folklore, Coyote (as god and
mythological deity) is the keeper of magic and wielder of divine creative powers. Coyote embodies the trickster god archetype and is closely related to Loki and Prometheus, all of whom share the myth of stealing fire from the gods and giving it to mankind.
